Aqua and Yoga Natal

Blacktown Aquatic Centre and Blacktown Leisure Centre Stanhope offer term-based natal programs for expectant mums.

Term 1 dates:
Blacktown Aquatic Centre:
  • Aqua Natal: Monday 6 May to Monday 1 July (7.45 pm, every Monday night).
    • Duration: 45 Minutes, per session. 
  • Yoga Natal: Thursday 9 May to Thursday 27 June (6.30 pm, every Thursday night).
    • Duration: 1 Hour, per session.
Blacktown Leisure Centre Stanhope:
  • Yoga Natal: Wednesday 15 May to Wednesday 3 July (6.00 pm, every Wednesday night).

    • Duration: 1 Hour, person session.
Cost:
  • $135 for the 8-week program.

Come try our new Staying Active classes!

Regular exercise is the key to ageing well. Our Staying Active classes are specially-tailored for people over 50 to keep you active and social.

You can meet new people, enjoy the benefits of exercise as well as engage in social activities such as our monthly morning tea!

Young at Heart

Young at Heart classes will help older adults look good and feel healthier! Young at Heart classes are run by accredited fitness leaders who are specifically trained in exercise for older adults. The cost is $11.40 per class or purchase a 10 entry visit pass for $102.65

Young at Heart is a land-based class which goes for 45 minutes and includes a gentle warm up, cardiovascular exercise and light resistance training. The benefits of regular exercise include:

  • lower blood pressure
  • improve cholesterol control
  • help manage weight
  • reduce the risk of falls
  • reduce the risk and manage heart disease, stroke and diabetes
  • make new friends while you have fun and get fit!

The Young at Heart classes are run at our year-round leisure and aquatic centres - Blacktown Leisure Centre Stanhope, Blacktown Aquatic Centre and Charlie Lowles Leisure Centre Emerton. The program aims to encourage older people to engage in regular physical activity in the interests of maintaining their physical and mental health.

Please note, doctors clearance may be required before you begin the program if you have an existing medical condition.
