Blacktown Aquatic Centre will close from 5 pm Sunday 11 October 2026 as the $77.2 million renewal project moves forward, supported by the NSW Government’s Western Sydney Infrastructure Grants (WSIG) Program.Extended operating hours will be available at Blacktown Leisure Centre Stanhope, Charlie Lowles Leisure Centre Emerton and Riverstone Swimming Centre during the closure.

Nyree is the Coordinator Aquatic and Leisure Centres, Charlie Lowles Leisure Centre Emerton and Mount Druitt Swimming Centre.
Nyree commenced at Blacktown City Council in 2003 as a Casual Activity Assistant. Nyree has continued in a variety of roles for over the course of her 20yrs with Council, including Casual LTS Instructor, Fulltime LTS Assistant, Fulltime Swim School Team Leader and Health & Safety Representative for Aquatics and Leisure Centres.
Working in a variety of roles has enabled Nyree to gain extensive experience across 3 of Blacktown City Council Aquatic and Leisure Centres. These roles built her experience and expertise in aquatic and leisure industry.
Qualifications:
